All Spray Tanning is private and custom. My solutions are designed to provide the most natural looking results. Based on two important criteria: skin tone & skin type. Since every one processes DHA differently my color ranges and levels of solutions are available in 8%, 10%, 12% & 14% DHA formulations, to provide optimal tanning for each skin type.
*****BEFORE YOUR SUNLESS TAN****
It is important that you use an ex foliate intended for use before application of a DHA product. So it is critical you exfoliate your skin very well in the shower, shave legs, & underarms before your appointment. I recommend my pre -tan pecan ex foliate scrub because it is pH-balanced & created for the sunless tanner.
Avoid bar soaps and moisturizing spa - type scrubs as some may leave a residue which interferes with the development of tanning solutions.
Body & Soul carries preparation and tan maintenance products for your convenience.
1. If you condition your hair, do so before you scrub. Do not apply deodorant, lotions, or perfumed products after your shower. You can do this after your processing time of 8-12 hours for the original formula, or 4 hrs for express. Deodorants discolor your tan.
2. Clients should wear an old, dark swimsuit, or undergarments, during their session. Some clients purchase an inexpensive swimsuit dedicated to their tanning sessions. Some clients prefer no lines so undergarments are not required.
3. Wear dark, loose clothing, and sandals to your session. Tight or restrictive clothing will damage your developing tan. A jogging suit or long cotton sun-dress, and flip-flops are ideal. I recommend leaving with a loose shirt and no bra if possible just during your processing time or loosen straps.
4. Wear lip balm or lipstick to your appointment.
5. NOTE: clients under the age of 18 require parents' permission and signature.
6. Be assured that we are professionals and will make every effort to accommodate your needs and make you as comfortable as possible whatever you choose to wear, and if you are unsure of getting a tan then ask me for a patch test!!! I would be happy to assist you!!

Here is the question everyone asks! How Long will my Tan last?
Well the duration of your tan is based on many factors such as skin condition, ex foliation rate, lifestyle, (gym/hot tub) etc. Body & Soul has no control over these factors and makes no claims with regard to duration. Your tan is based on each individual. Typically 7-10 days is normal. Although, maintaining your sunless tan requires regular proper care and proper skin care products to extend the life of your tan. Please consult with me if you need professional tips, aftercare instructions and products to maximize your sunless tanning results.
very important! Unlike, drugstore, specialty store, or department store skincare. The products I sell at Body & Soul are formulated specifically for sunless tanning. Your current body scrub likely leaves oils or residual ingredients on your skin- sometimes that you can't feel. This forms a barrier that blocks the sunless tanning spray from adhering or penetrating the skin as well. This can dramatically reduce the darkeness of your tan, and typically shortens the life span.

Pre -Tan Deep Clean Ex foliate-pre tan skin prep is crucial. Use the fine -grained pecan shells & special cleansers which gently wash away buildup & oil while polishing the skin.
Post-Tan Extender -Tan Restore Gel-If you wash your face more frequently than the rest and the tan fades more quickly from the face while most of the tan will be flawless for days, using the gel in those fading spots will even out the tan until your next spray session. Plus, its skin rejuvenating system heals dehydrated and prematurely aging skin while controlling the formation of free radicals that damage cells.
Post Tan-Moisturize-Velvet Soft- The more hydrated the skin cells in the now tanned, outer layer of the skin, the less sloughing of the skin and therefore the longer the tan will last. The luxurious blend of oils all day long, without any oily or sticky feeling. The formula rejuvenates as it moisturizes.
Post Tan Maintenance-Skin Glow (blotchy helps to get back to an even keel from the gym) applies every 2-3 days in-between self tanning applications and leave on for 6-8 hrs before washing off
Post-Tan Maintenance-Shower Glow- DHA infused that adds 1-3 days of life of the sunless tan. Most shower soaps and body washes fade the sunless tan. Protect your investment with this non-drying foaming cleanser which is formulated with all natural; plant derived ingredients-and a carefully measured dose of DHA to safeguard your radiant sunless glow.
